Mr.Yan Naung Soe has been working as an Assistant Director at National Cyber Security Center, Department of Information Technology and Cyber Security under Ministry of Transport and Communications, Myanmar since 2015. His responsibilities are to operate & maintain IT security systems and to give cyber security related technical advisories to other ministries and government agencies.
He worked as an assistant engineer at Myanmar Post & Telecommunications (MPT) from 2008 to 2015. His responsibilities were to operate and maintain the NGN Softswitch and IT systems. He worked as a visiting instructor at MPT Training Center and shared the theory and practical experiences of NGN Softswitch from 2009 to 2015.
Before joining to MPT, he served as a communication and electronics engineer at Myanmar Air Force from 2005 to 2008. He supervised the maintenance of avionics systems.
He also served as a visiting lecturer at Defence Services Technological Academy (DSTA) from 2004 to 2006. He gave lectures about basics electronics, advanced electronics, industrial electronic & control systems. He also supervised microcontroller-based electronic projects of final year cadets.
He got Bachelor of Engineering Degree in the field of Electronics & Communication from DSTA in 2000. He holds Master of Engineering Degree in the field of Electronics from Moscow State Engineering-Physics Institute (MEPhI) in 2004. He attended the Advanced Diploma in Civil Services Management Course at Central Institute of Civil Services (Upper Myanmar) in 2018.
